Custom Printed Tape Information
We are able to print most things on tape but a few words on what is and what is not possible.
Quantity: The minimum quantity we are able to produce is 72 rolls.
Colours & Tints: All colours must be spot colours, by that I mean that we cannot reproduce a tint or a fade, unfortunately tape printing technology is such that the dots required to produce a tint would be so large as to make the design horrible. We can match a tint with a spot Pantone colour but this would be another colour and the price would change accordingly. We are able to use pretty much any Pantone colour on vinyl tape, on polypropylene however colours are more limited so an exact match may not be possible, please ask.
Lines & Drawings: Fine lines can be reproduced to pretty high degree of detail but there is always a danger of a very thin line becoming interrupted, best to keep all lines to minimum of 0.5 mm.
Flood Coats: If you choose to have a tape either flood coated (a block of single colour covering 100% of the tape) or wish to have your design reversed out of a flood, then there will be a feint line at the junction between the end of the last print with the beginning of the next.
Fonts: We have well over 1000 fonts on file so if we cant match your font exactly we should be able to get pretty close. Alternatively if you have a unique font then if you can send us the font (PC format) on disk or email, we will be happy to use your own font for the design.
Artwork & Formats: If you have already a design on computer we will be happy to use your own artwork. We are able to accept .ai (Adobe Illustrator), .cdr (Corel Draw) or .eps (Encapsulated Post Script) Please be sure to export your file with all fonts converted to curves and export to PC format, we will of course be happy to discuss with you any questions you may have with regard to compatibility. .jpegs, .gif, .tiff, .bmp, .wmf and all other bitmap formats cannot really be used as artwork, well the text at least, if you only have the design in bitmap format we would be happy to advise what is possible, if the worst comes to the worst we will re-draw.
Origination Charges: The first time that a design is produced, the artwork, supplied or otherwise, has to be reset, from this a set of printing plates are produced. For this there is a charge, this charge is only applied on the first order, should the plates need replacing over time there is no extra cost to you, unless of course you change the design in some way.
