Moving Wardrobe Boxes Make Transporting Clothing Easy
Moving Wardrobe Boxes
How long has it been since you’ve moved to a new residence? If you’re like most people, it’s probably been between three to five years since you’ve relocated. Getting a new job, starting a family or moving away to go to school are all reasons why you might find yourself facing the prospect of packing up all your belongings and getting them ready for a long journey in a moving truck. You might think that your clothes will be the fastest and easiest items to pack, because they’re not breakable. However, leaving your closet until the last minute could result in some surprise when you find out you really have more clothes than you expected. Using wardrobe boxes is a great way to keep all your clothes organized while you move home.
Wardrobe boxes keep everything orderly
When it comes to packing up your clothes and linens, you might have to resist just throwing everything into the biggest box you can find, and sorting it all out when you get to your new home. But chances are that whether you’re moving across town or across the country, the last thing you’re going to want to do upon arrival is iron a bunch of wrinkly, crumpled up clothes. Packing your textiles in wardrobe boxes instead can keep everything orderly and ready to wear when you arrive.
In case you’ve never heard of wardrobe boxes before, you should know that they are temporary versions of a self contained closet. Usually about three to four feet tall and rectangular in shape, these boxes are built to keep your clothes organized on their journey. Most include a bar running across the top of the box on which you can easily hang your shirts, dresses, pants, and other items that are currently hanging in your closet.
Use two wardrobe boxes per room
Most moving companies recommend that you get up to two wardrobe boxes for each closet in your home. If you know that you have a particularly large closet, or that you have more clothes than the average person, you might want to increase this estimate to between three or four boxes per closet. Another great thing about these unique boxes is that you can hang clothes in the top and store shoes in the bottom just like your regular closet. In this way, you can knock out two of the most awkward packing items in one box. Make sure you inquire with your moving company about whether or not they offer these moving wardrobe boxes.
